Position Summary:

The Marketing Representative is responsible for providing Marketing Support for the Exploration Team to insure the timely connection of wells and providing Operations Support for the Production Team to work with service providers to address operational issues which inhibit the ability for the Production Team to maximize its production. The Marketing Representative must work with a sense of urgency and have great communication and planning skills to insure critical deadlines are met. This role solicits proposals, negotiates deals and follows through on each transaction to insure accurate and timely execution.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be at all-inclusive or nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary:

  • Attend planning meetings with the Exploration Teams to understand well connect needs and priorities
  • Attend operation meetings with the Production Teams to address operational problems
  • Solicit proposals from service providers to connect new wells and offer pressure services
  • Negotiate contracts to maximize the netbacks and flow assurance for new and existing wells
  • Preparation of tables, graphs, charts and other elements to facilitate the decision making process
  • Address accounting and settlement questions with service providers and internal personnel
  • Stay abreast and manage the shifting of drilling schedules, completions and other company changes
  • Manage time to adhere to defined schedules and deadlines
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills & Experience:

  • BA or BS from an accredited University
  • Minimum of 10 years of oil and gas industry experience
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented with ability to run netback calculations and skillful differentiation of bids
  • Detailed knowledge of gas contracts and contract subtleties
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Team player that possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment
