Position Summary:

Incumbents in this role are responsible for analyzing, establishing and maintaining oil and gas lease and contract documents and records.  Obtains information and assists in research and processing data.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be at all-inclusive or nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary:

  • Analyze, input and update oil and gas leases, contracts, surface, right-of-way and mineral deeds in land system
  • Monitor and administer rental, expiration, shut-in, minimum royalty and other obligations
  • Maintain and update lease records by reviewing title documents and status changes such as assignments, mineral and quitclaim deeds, title opinions, pooling orders, conveyances and releases
  • Initiate and track release of oil and gas leases
  • Special related projects as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Combination of education and experience may substitute as equivalent in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience lease analyst experience preferred
  • Established proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and Word required
  • Established proficiency in data analytics
  • Experience with Enertia preferred
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various levels of company personnel
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy
  • Must be team player that possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment
