Incumbents in this role are focused on GIS duties including database management, preparation of maps, and primarily the development of GIS applications for various functional units of the organization including exploration, production, and midstream operations.

The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be at all-inclusive or nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary:

• Focuses on the development of GIS applications requested by functional units
• Analyzes operational requirements and assesses technology and capacity requirements
• Designs and runs queries and reports in order to pull data from geographical databases
• Perform GIS analysis to perform or assist with analysis of land resources
• Responsible for the organization, collection, maintenance, and accuracy of GIS databases
• Develops, assembles, edits and revises maps and mapping products utilizing GIS concepts, principles and processes
• Develops and maintains new skills to accomplish assigned tasks and responsibilities
• Other tasks as assigned

• Associates Degree or GIS Certification Courses or Equivalent Work Experience
• 2 or more years of GIS experience using ESRI products: ArcMap, Web Map Services, and SDE may be considered in lieu of an Associates Degree
• ArcPro experience a plus
• AutoCad training and experience helpful
• Experience working with Plan and Profile and Alignment Sheets desired
• Knowledge of Pipeline Industry and Pipeline Standards
• Knowledge of Public Land Survey System
• Knowledge of Coordinate Systems, Map Projections, Datum and Transformation Software Packages: Global Mapper or Blue Marble
• Experience in Petra, Geographix, SMT, and Spotfire would be a bonus

Demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages and applications, such as: 

• Languages: Python, HTML5, JavaScript, C# NET, Java
  
• Databases: SQL Server
• Server Side:  ASP . NET Web API, REST
• Mobile: Offline Apps, iOS, Andriod a bonus
