  • Position Summary:

    Incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to petro technical staff, such as engineering. Depending upon level within role, incumbents are responsible to load, verify, manipulate and analyze data related to production, drilling, explorations and seismic activity. 

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but are not meant to be all inclusive or nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary

     

    • Gathers technical data for manipulation and analysis
    • Routine assignments, such as maintaining files/records, performing simple calculations and gathering/tabulating data.
    • Learns terminology, applications, and standard procedures for performing the job function.
    • Creates models and works with engineer to provide meaningful analysis
    • Depending on dedicated discipline (production, reservoir, drilling) monitors production and drilling performance, AFE’s and LOE evaluations

     

    Skills & Experience:

     

    EDUCATION:

    Technical Degree or 4-year college degree highly preferred.  Industry experience may substitute as equivalent for degree.

     

    PROFICIENCIES:

    • Basic knowledge of PC/mainframe systems, spreadsheets, and/or database application software is required.
    • Working knowledge of oil and gas software packages, such as ARIES, and Petra
    • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access, Power Point
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
    • Must be able to work in a team environment and possess the ability to adapt to changing and fast paced working environment.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Work is typically performed inside an office facility. Exposure to conditions such as extreme heat or cold is not typical, but due to the nature of work is a possibility.  In the event that employee is required to physically visit areas where actual operations are occurring, such as drilling locations or producing well-sites, personal protective equipment including but not limited to hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing are required.
